Application coaching

On Friday, 25.11.2022, an applicant training for the two 9th grades of our International High School took place as part of our "Fit for Life" concept. This was intended to provide the students with in-depth insights into a successful start to their future careers as part of their career orientation:

How do I apply properly? What do personnel managers look for in a personal interview? What are the typical pitfalls? The young people received valuable answers to these and many other questions.

Regional companies, including the Erzgebirgsklinikum Stollberg, PTF Pfüller, Modee GmbH from Stollberg, the Chamber of Crafts Chemnitz, the AMZ Group Autohaus Stollberg and the Employment Agency in Stollberg actively participated in the implementation.

In preparation for this project day, the students worked on their application documents in German class, consisting of a resume and a personal cover letter, among other things, which was then also sent to the participating companies for preparation.

After a round of greetings, the students, dressed appropriately for the occasion, were divided into small groups according to their applications and then conducted a real job interview with the representatives of the companies. The rest of the group acted as silent observers and were able to provide important feedback in the follow-up to the interview. After the entire group had completed their individual interviews, a joint evaluation clarified any remaining questions and provided tips.

After a general feedback round of all participants at the end of the day, everyone was able to start the weekend richer by many experiences.

A big thank you goes to all participants who made this day possible with a lot of commitment and attention to detail.
