As part of the cooperation and exchange program Erasmus+, our International Gymnasium Niederwurschnitz hosted a group of 10 students and 2 teachers from the DSA School (Deutsch - Slowakische Akademie) in Považská Bystrica, Slovakia.
Inter-subject combined lessons, also known as integrated or cross-curricular lessons, involve combining concepts, themes, or skills from two or more subjects into a single lesson. This approach emphasizes the interconnectedness of knowledge and provides students with more opportunities to apply what they learn in one subject to others. Instead of teaching subjects in isolation, inter-subject lessons highlight how different disciplines relate to real-world complexities.
On Tuesday, 25.04.2025, the SIS project day "Strong together against bullying" took place for all pupils, teachers, parents and interested parties with conflict mediator Carsten Stahl, one of Germany's best-known anti-bullying trainers, in the Bürgergarten Stollberg.

On February 13, 2025, the first SIS soccer tournament took place in Niederwürschnitz, where teams from Meerane, Elsterberg, Neukirchen and Niederwürschnitz met. It was a consistently fair but hard-fought tournament in which all teams played with full commitment.
On this year's Genial Sozial Tag, the pupils of our school once again demonstrated their great commitment. Thanks to their active participation, a considerable sum of €5,823.00 was raised for social projects and charitable causes.
