They were welcomed by the smell of coffee and cakes from class 6g, who had opened a small Christmas bakery in the foyer. In the school club they could dine comfortably, have a chat or two and look forward to the concert.
Then it was off to the auditorium for a wonderful, colorful program. There, for example, the fifth graders demonstrated their skills on the harmonica, the choir presented German and English Christmas carols, and the Dance Kids got the audience clapping along eagerly.
It was a very successful afternoon and a big thank you goes to all the performers, on and behind the stage, and especially to the music teacher Mrs. Hahn, who managed to provide a wonderful pre-Christmas afternoon for all present, despite a massive sick leave of the choir.
