On August 15, 2026, the International Schools Niederwürschnitz welcomed a very special visitor: A group of Chinese students and teachers visited our school as part of an intercultural program.
To welcome them, a musical reception was held in the auditorium, which was performed by our students and created a cheerful, open atmosphere. Afterwards, the Chinese teachers took part in a specially organized IT workshop, while the students from China visited various classes in small groups and got to know the learning atmosphere and teaching structure. Four Chinese-speaking students from the international schools helped our guests with translation. This day was particularly exciting for one of these students. Sunny was allowed to show the guests around the school and accompanied them during the visit. "As I am Chinese myself, I was able to introduce our school and show the guests around the building. We attended various lessons together," she reports. "Many things were new and very interesting for our guests, as lessons in Germany differ from those in China. We were able to talk to each other and I was very pleased that everyone was so friendly and open. The day was a wonderful experience."
The visit was an enriching experience for everyone involved and a successful contribution to intercultural exchange.
