Buddy Day for IPS students

Once again this school year, a Buddy Day was held for the primary school pupils at IPS. This day offers a program aimed at easing the transition from elementary school to secondary school and providing insights into possible educational paths.

The IPS primary school pupils were first given a tour of the school building with lots of information and special features about our schools. After an invigorating breakfast break, the third graders were accompanied to the various stations by older students, the so-called "buddies". The pupils were able to get a taste of various subjects, be creative, learn, experiment and get to know activities at the secondary school and the grammar school. The event concluded with a taster lesson, during which all third-graders were able to experience a lesson in class 7g. They also all received a special ruler as a souvenir gift, which was lovingly designed by our pupils. For many children, Buddy Day is an exciting and enriching experience. It also offers the pupils in the older classes the opportunity to take on responsibility and pass on their own experiences and knowledge.
