Charity concert in the Bürgergarten: Together for a good cause
On Wednesday, June 4, 2026, the Bürgergarten became a colorful stage for a very special SIS benefit concert. Under the motto "Musical: The little spider Widerlich - Together we are strong", children from the Clever Kids kindergarten, pupils from the IPS, our International Secondary School and the International Secondary School Niederwürschnitz presented a varied program full of music, dance and warmth.
Ahoj, Slovakian students!
As part of the cooperation and exchange program Erasmus+, our International Gymnasium Niederwurschnitz hosted a group of 10 students and 2 teachers from the DSA School (Deutsch - Slowakische Akademie) in Považská Bystrica, Slovakia.
Learning in the forest
Inter-subject combined lessons, also known as integrated or cross-curricular lessons, involve combining concepts, themes, or skills from two or more subjects into a single lesson. This approach emphasizes the interconnectedness of knowledge and provides students with more opportunities to apply what they learn in one subject to others. Instead of teaching subjects in isolation, inter-subject lessons highlight how different disciplines relate to real-world complexities.
Project day "Strong together against bullying"
On Tuesday, 25.04.2025, the SIS project day "Strong together against bullying" took place for all pupils, teachers, parents and interested parties with conflict mediator Carsten Stahl, one of Germany's best-known anti-bullying trainers, in the Bürgergarten Stollberg.
SIS Olympiads Spanish and English
Home / Blog News from everyday school life The following places were achieved at the Spanish Olympiad in Meerane: 1st place Liliana (7a), 2nd place Melissa (8a) and 3rd place Franziskus (7g). In English there were also placings from first to third place: 1st place Tobias (9g), 2nd place Wataru (7g), 2nd place Lilly (8g) and Felix (8a) in 3rd place. [...]
First SIS soccer Tournament
On February 13, 2025, the first SIS soccer tournament took place in Niederwürschnitz, where teams from Meerane, Elsterberg, Neukirchen and Niederwürschnitz met. It was a consistently fair but hard-fought tournament in which all teams played with full commitment.
Successful Genial Social Day
On this year's Genial Sozial Tag, the pupils of our school once again demonstrated their great commitment. Thanks to their active participation, a considerable sum of €5,823.00 was raised for social projects and charitable causes.
Christmas event 2024
The festively decorated school auditorium was filled to capacity when this year's Christmas concert began. Pupils, teachers and parents came together to celebrate the pre-Christmas period with a special school highlight that was not only musically inspiring.
Culture fits
On 02.12.2024, class 7g got to grips with the sewing machine. Under the guidance of Linni Grund, the owner of the "Tapfere Schneiderei" in Lichtenstein, the pupils tried out cutting and sewing fabrics together.
Healthy "bee products" are well received
The all-day bee program focused on the topic of "bee products". Together, the children first gathered information about the products produced by bees, including honey, wax, royal jelly and bee venom.
